What is meant by Google Dance ?
Any keyword which is optimized for some URL whose ranking drops suddenly and again restores after some days is called google dance.
At end of each month Google updates its database. It is called dance because there will be shift in ranking as Google considers some websites as more relevant
During the month, Google sends out robots (spiders) to crawl the web and archive every website it finds. These archived websites will be presented in the next update of the Google index (database). The update process is initiated every 30 days or so, although on some occasions there have been more than 30 days between updates. This is what happens in google dance.
When a keyword position for a particular keyword changed/fluctuate in search engine result page commonly known as Google dance because when google update its database- this position is temporary, keyword position back in few day's time may be less or sometimes more.
This is when Google bring up to date its entire database of websites, which habitually occurs at the end of every month. This is called a dance as there can be dramatic shifts in the rankings as Google update also several sites as being more relevant than others.
The period of time in which google rebuild its rankings.
Google dance is the index update of the Google Search Engine or changes in the Google algorithm.
In search engine optimization (SEO), Google Dance is an out-dated slang term used to describe the period of time in which Google used to rebuild its rankings, and as a result of this rebuilding, rankings of Web sites on Google's SERP may fluctuate in order during a several day period.
